A few weeks ago we went to an A's Spring Training game. Although we were sitting in the outfield seats, we were in the second row back and about 10 feet away from all the players that were warming up in the bullpen. We were so close we could hear them talking...it was pretty cool.

Easter
Aftin's mom was out of town for Easter, so we put on Easter dinner for her dad and two sisters. Although she didn't like it at first, Aliyah wore her pretty Easter dress to church. We changed right when we got home, we didn't want to get Easter dinner all over the dress. We had a little Easter egg hunt for Aliyah--we put a bunch of brightly colored eggs in plain view in the backyard and she went around and collected them, it was so cute.
The little scratch on her nose is from a face plant in the rocks. :(

Our New Home
After the long and stressful process, we finally bought the house. We moved in Saturday the 15th and are pretty close to being unpacked. Well, if you don't count the wild mess of random boxes and other items shut into the extra bedroom and the big under-the-stairs closet. but that can wait until another week.
So far we love it...no noisy neighbors above us, lots of extra room everywhere, a garage, a backyard... There are a few things here and there that need to be worked on and fixed, but that's the fun of a house, right?
We will post some more pics soon!

Fun at the Zoo
I have a season pass to the Zoo. It is only about 10 minutes away and I have gone there quite a bit in the last 6 months. I have a guest pass on it so I can take a friend or Bill can go with us on a Saturday. Here are a few pictures of our excursions to the Zoo:

The Bia's (pronounced bee-uhs)
Aliyah never got attached to any items until just a few months ago. Now we can't go anywhere without her "bia's".
Bia means two things: her yellow blanket and her binki. Of all the cute blankets and quilts for her to get attached to, it is the one that I made in like one hour as a lightweight stretchable blanket to swaddle her in at night--she had to be swaddled to sleep until 9 or so months! At least it is thin and easy to pack in a bag, and since it is home made from a plain yellow material, it can be reproduced if lost...hopefully.
How these both got the same name of "bia", who knows? And she always wants them together, so it's not like we have to figure out which one she means--its either she wants both or the one she doesn't have.
