The Bia's (pronounced bee-uhs)

Aliyah never got attached to any items until just a few months ago. Now we can't go anywhere without her "bia's".

Bia means two things: her yellow blanket and her binki. Of all the cute blankets and quilts for her to get attached to, it is the one that I made in like one hour as a lightweight stretchable blanket to swaddle her in at night--she had to be swaddled to sleep until 9 or so months! At least it is thin and easy to pack in a bag, and since it is home made from a plain yellow material, it can be reproduced if lost...hopefully.

How these both got the same name of "bia", who knows? And she always wants them together, so it's not like we have to figure out which one she means--its either she wants both or the one she doesn't have.

We're Buying a House

We just found out yesterday that our bid for a house was accepted. As long as everything goes smoothly, we should be homeowners in about a month. It was a long nerve-racking process with offers, counter offers, counter-counter offers, and multiple bidders, but we had the top bid by $100. Close call!

It was built in 2002, 1560 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms/2.5 baths with a loft (which will be our office/den). It has a decent sized back yard with a patch of grass for Aliyah to play in. It seems to be in great shape and we really only need to do a bit of touch up paint and clean the carpets before its ready to move into. Here are some pics of it:

Welcome to our Blog

Too many people have blogs for us to get away with not having one. It is such a great idea to get info, news, and pics to anybody who is interested. Hopefully we can keep it current!
