Dance and Soccer

This fall we signed Aliyah up for a few extra curricular activities. She did a 6-week community center ballet class and a soccer league. The soccer is for preschoolers, so they actually don't play games. They work for about 2/3 of the practice on skills and then scrimage at the end.  She's pretty coordinated, extremely energetic, and surprisingly very good at following teacher/coach directions, so she has done well at both.I can't quite tell if she really likes ballet or soccer. Sometimes she loves it, other times she never wants to do it again.

Goodbye to our Best Friends!

Aubrey and I have been good friends since Aliyah and Ever were just babies. Aliyah and Eve are such good friends, almost like sisters. They look alike and we often got asked if they were twins. :) Spencer and Nicholas were just becoming friends (Nicholas and Natalia, the baby, have been in their family for about 6 months and their adoption is finalizing in a few weeks!!!) We have done so much and gone through so much together; we are so sad that they have moved away. We will miss them! But hope to still see them often when we travel to Utah.

Willman Family Splashpad Adventure

Amber and Chris were in town in early September and we all went to a splash pad on Saturday morning. The kids--and the adults--had fun getting wet!

We went to the Sade concert on September 2nd. John Legend opened. It was great!

Aliyah's 5th Birthday

We had another swim party for Aliyah's 5th birthday. She invited a bunch of friends from church and preschool. They swam, played water games, had cupcakes and presents. Aliyah was so excited for her birthday and had a lot of fun. The best gift she received was a trip to Disneyland, however at the time she didn't really understand what we were giving her, and just moved on to the next gift. :)
