New Year's Eve

We went to Steve's second annual big New Year's Eve party. This year was an 80's theme. Bill had his costume idea planned out for weeks. I found mine the day of at Salvation Army. It was an awesome find. The jacket was $0.99. Our boys went to a babysitter and we brought Aliyah along with us. Bill and I were in charge of the Minute to Win It games. Then there were four performances. Bill and I sang "Nothing Compares to You" (By Sinade OConner/Prince), the Nisha and Chad Ridgeway did a Reading Rainbow dance, Steve Govern did a few rap songs (he is trying to start up his rap career), and then Bill, Steve, and Chad did a dance. We also had some yummy food, and of course lots of dancing.

Christmas Eve - Reading and "attempted" reenactment of the Nativity

Christmas Eve gifts - pajamas and ornaments

Russell got Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates - This became his favorite character this year (besides Ninjago) and he often imitates a pirate, closing one eye and growling. His imagination has really grown this year and is often involved in imaginative play with figurines and cars.

Spencer got Olaf. Frozen was the one of hisfavorite movies of the year (that and The Lego Movie). He loved singing the "Let it Go" song. He sang it so much at preschool that he and one other girl performed the song at the graduation. Spencer is sweet, enthusiastic, and generous, just like Olaf.

Aliyah started piano lessons this year. She is doing well and really loving it.

Present Time!
Aliyah got a sewing book and materials, barbie car, books, games. Spencer got a Spider man watch, tool set, books, games, car track, Helicopter rescue bot. Russell got a Jake and the Neverland Pirates Jake hideout and figurines, Ninjago and Lego Movie books, Heatwave rescue bot, plush Jake toy, sticker books. Aftin got an amazing Kitchen Aid Mixer, popcorn popper, food processor, and necklace. Bill got new sunglasses, hockey tickets, t-shirt, and I made him a few bulletin boards with pictures of our dates, concerts, and romantic getaways.

There has not been one day since Christmas that Russell has not played with his Heat Wave rescue bot!

Skyping with Grandma and Grandpa Willman

It was a wonderful Christmas. Although it wasn't a white Christmas, we enjoyed spending time together all day. In the evening, our friends the Wagners came over for Christmas Dinner.

December

Our Realtors annual Christmas party. Its a fun activity to do afterschool, treats, pictures, crafts, talking reindeer, Santa....

Friend Christmas Party - Our friends have a family tradition to do a Kid's Christmas Party with their family. They have moved here, away from all there family, and wanted to keep up the tradition. We put on a kids' restaurant, with menus, waiters, etc. After their fancy dinner, Santa came with a gift for each child. Then the kids watched a movie while the adults ate and chatted.

Aliyah's First Piano Recital. She played two songs, both with her teacher playing along with her. She did great! And wasn't nervous or afraid. She likes the spotlight.
