California Vacation

Disneyland

On our way home from N. California we stopped and went to Disneyland. We went on Bill's birthday...and you are free on your birthday and Aliyah was free so we only had to pay for me so it worked out really nicely. We were there about 30 minutes before it opened and were first in line to get through the gate. We booked it to Finding Nemo and Peter Pan first off before they got long lines, then we spent a few hours in Fantasyland and ToonTown. Aliyah didn't like the "inside" type rides, like Peter Pan, Pinnochio, etc.--they scared her a bit. But she loved the Carousel, Dumbo, Teacups, Its a Small World, Casey Jr Train and the Tiki Room. She also enjoyed meeting some of the characters. However, she was a bit scared of Mulan, she had never seen the movie. All the others she ran right up to and hugged...it was so cute. About 1pm, Aliyah and I headed back to the hotel for lunch and a nap while Bill took the 4 hours we were gone to ride all the "wild" rides that Aliyah and I couldn't do. When we got back in the evening, we took it easy, did a few more family rides, had dinner, and watched the fireworks show. We didn't end up leaving Disneyland until 11pm!!! Luckily Aliyah and I had a bit of a break but Bill went 15 hours straight!! Needless to say we were all exhausted from the long day.

The whole day went surprisingly well. Aliyah was happy most the day and took a great nap at the hotel. I did great despite being 32 weeks pregnant on my feet all day in the heat. It was the perfect ending to a great vacation.
