Its a boy!

We finally found out what we are having...its a boy!!! We are very excited about it. My doctor scheduled me for a second ultrasound, because there were a few things, besides the gender, that they weren't able to see because of the baby's position. However, that ultrasound isn't until my next appointment in a month, so we went to a baby ultrasound place and just had a gender check ultrasound--we couldn't wait a whole month to find out. The ultrasound technician said she is 100% sure its a boy and sent us home with the pictures to prove it. I won't post those, but will post some of the 3D ultrasound pictures we got. He was hiding his little face most of the time, but there are still a few cute shots.

All snuggled up

He's not even born and he's already showing off his biceps

Having a Baby

I am sure some of you already know that we are expecting our second child, but if not, you do now! We are really excited, especially since I am just over 20 weeks and am mostly past the yuckiness of the first trimester (the reason for the long delay in blogging), and not quite into the uncomfortable third trimester.

We were supposed to find out the gender of the baby last week, but the baby was in a very inconvenient position for the ultrasound. The ultrasound technician says that she is 70% sure it is a boy. But when painting and decorating a room and the possible purchase of boy clothes and accesories hinges on this one fact, 70% is just about as good as 50%. So we are going to try to do another ultrasound and find out for sure.

We'll keep you all updated on what we find out.

Pictures from March

Yet another silly face in her favorite picture spot.

St. Patrick's Day
(On occasion I take pictures of Aliyah and I by setting the timer. I never really like taking pictures of myself, but it would be sad to look back and never have pics of the two of us together.)

These next pictures are from our little day-trip to Seven Springs. We thought it was like a 30-45 minute drive. It was 1.5 hours, with half of it on a dirt road. Although it wasn't quite worth the drive, we still had some family fun time during Bill's vacation after "busy season" was over. It was especially fun becuase lately Aliyah has been really into rivers. (We don't know how or why.) But she was so excited about playing by the "river". She still talks about it.

A few other silly pictures. (It is very hard to capture a sincerely cute picture, we have to be very sneaky with the camera, and she catches us most of the time)

Pictures from February

I guess we didn't take many pictures in February.

Aliyah loves to "help" me load and unload the dishwasher. Its surprising but she knows where everything goes in the bottom cupboards.

Whenever she hears the squeak of the school bus she runs to the front door to see it. We have to sit outside and watch the kids get on the bus (the bus stop is across the street from our house--that will be handy in a few years). She also has to watch the garbage and recycle trucks. They all come around 7:30 in the morning so often we are outside a lot in the morning.

Aliyah got into my eyeliner...two days in a row. Now, really, whose fault is that? You think I would have put it away the first time.

Aliyah loves to exercise with me. She actually tries to do push ups and sit ups and all the other moves I do...its quite cute.

Pictures from January

Again, it has been a long time between posts. Here are a few pics from January:

This is one of the maybe 5 times EVER, that Aliyah has ever fallen asleep outside of her bed. I think she was sick.

Aliyah and her friend Lily

Aliyah has started to want to "help" me cook

With her blankie

Her picture pose- any time I get the camera out for a picture she runs to the front door and gives this silly face

I actually got a real smile here

Helping with the laundry (again, the silly smile)

She loves to dress up, choose her own clothes and change clothes often

My cute little princess
