Nauvoo

In May we went to Nauvoo, Illinois to see Bill's parents and visit the site.  It is a historic site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bill's parents are missionaries there for a year. We were planning on eventually visiting Nauvoo while living only 9 hours away, and with Bill's parents there, we decided now would be the best time. We went in the spring before all the crowds came. It was nice weather, and not very many people at all. We had a great time learning more about the church members in Nauvoo, how people lived back then, and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. We were able to see most of the Nauvoo's sites, watch Bill's parents in a fun play, attend a session in the Nauvoo Temple, visit the Joseph Smith sites, and see Carthage Jail, where the Prophet Joseph Smith was killed. We were glad to be able to come.
