Our No Kids Vacation

Here are the pictures from our vacation to Zion's and the Grand Canyon:

The Bed and Breakfast we stayed at near Zions

The next four pictures are just at different spots in Zion's Park:

The next two are the views (from the car) on the East side of Zion's:

We drove 2 hours out of the way to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon on the way to the South Rim. We figured we had no kids with us so whats another two hours in the car. It was really cold (there was still some snow left) and pretty. But not that much different from the South Rim. At least we can check it off our list of places to visit!

At the South Rim we camped overnight in 30* weather--it was FREEZING. The next morning we hiked 5 miles down to Indian Gardens and then back up the canyon. We had a good time. It was hard, and a little warm, but we had no problems and were really proud of ourselves that we made it (we aren't very outdoorsy!)
The night before the hike.

A view (from the top) of our destination--Indian Gardens (the brighter green patch in the middle of the picture).

Us in Indian Gardens

Indian Gardens--the green Oasis halfway down the bleak canyon

Yea!! Looks like a second honeymoon for you two, to get to spend so much time without kids. How fun to be together and to see the beautiful outdoors. I hope I can take a trip like that someday!

Being from AZ I'm always a wimp when it is cold. These yucky Boston winters are giving me a run for my money.
