Halloween

Carving pumpkins - Russell loved pulling the insides out
and Aliyah carved her own pumpkin for the first time.

Spencer's Preschool Trick or Treated at Rochester College - It was a very cold day for walking around campus.

Halloween Night: Trick or Treating - Superman, Vampiress, Iron Man

Like last year, Halloween night was cold, rainy, and snowy. We went to the neighborhood annual Halloween Pizza Party then Bill went home to hand out candy and Aftin took the kids trick or treating. We went with our friends, the Ginters (Warren and Verra), Russell was so slow at walking I tried to just push him in the stroller, but he wanted to get out for every door. The older kids were always a few houses ahead of me with the other kids. After about 15 minutes and 8-10 houses I brought Russell home. After about that same amount of time, Spencer started getting whiny about walking so much and being wet and cold. So I took him home. I took Aliyah for another half a block, then I was cold and tired and ready to head home. We were only out for about an hour.

This is how we trick or treat in Michigan--all of the amazing costumes are covered in winter/rain coats and rain boots.
