Spencer's birthday was on Labor Day. We had decided that we were going to have friend birthday parties for the kids every other year. And on the off year they could invite one friend to do a fun activity. So Aliyah and Spencer chose to take our neighbors, Warren and Verra, to go bowling. We actually had a Labor Day BBQ with some friends on his birthday. He called it his birthday party--we let him think that. He opened his presents before our guests came. But we had cake when everyone was here. He was happy with his lego set and remote control car.
